Animals August 14, 2007
This eagle took roost on a treetop 50' from the deck. I had traded in my SLR camera and zoom lenses for a digital camera, with a 4x zoom, not good enough, but couln't let this eagle go. Fortuneatly we had a Celestron Ulitma telescope witha 480mm lens on hand. I set up the tripod and got the telescope locked in on the eagle. After a few experiments I discovered I had to use the macro function on the camera to take the pic through the telescope. Not having any camera attachments, I did my best to steady this hand held shot. Taken in Savary Island, BC. View: Full
