We were lucky to attend the first week of the Canada Games in PEI this summer. I was acting as the media liason and had media privleges for shooting the races. This ”Formidable Force” of cyclists was the lead pack in the race. The three BC women paced 1st, 3rd and 4th, then won gold in the relay three days later! Taken in Summerside PEI with a Canon Rebel on automatic setting.

Tower of rocks. My 2.5 yr-old (Timmy) and I are frequent visitors to the river to catch imaginary fish and throw rocks. While he plays, I let out some creative spirit building rock towers. He usually helps me collect some of the building supplies. This was one of our records (nine rocks). We usually only make it to six or seven. Taken at Lynn Creek, North Vancouver with a Canon Rebel digital camera.

Waves of Ice - captured in 2008 during the prolonged cold spell, this leaf was iced in a roadside puddle. Timmy took particular interest (the 1.5 yrs. old) making it possible to stop long enough for a few interesting shots. The lines created by the ice mimicked rolling ocean waves. Taken near Lynn Creek in North Vancouver with a Canon Rebel digital camera on automatic setting.

Playing at Cates Park in North Vancouver in the sand on a quiet winter day, we were treated to many birds (incl. several eagles) adventuring around the shore. They were braver than normal and flying closer to the shore than during the busy beach days. Taken with a Canon Rebel digital camera on automatic setting.

When the snow was finally melting enough to venture into the trails, we hiked around Lynn Canyon on a misty, foggy morning. In Guatemala for work (international sport development) in Jan. '06, we visited Antigua for a day. The night lights were dim and orange along the main walk way and these women in traditional dress were congregated chatting in a quiet corner. I didn't want to use a flash, and the moment was caught in a dreamy blur. A Canon Rebel digital camera was used on automatic setting with no flash.
