Dominik Dlouhy, P.Eng., MBA, CFA

Dominik’s qualifications include a degree in Engineering, an MBA and the prestigious CFA charter. He began his financial services career as an equity research analyst in Toronto in 1987. Dominik has since lived and worked in Africa, Indonesia and New Zealand.

One of Vernon’s most qualified investment advisors, he is also known for his “Markets & Moments” column in the Okanagan Business Journal and for his contributions to other publications.

Craig Gronsdahl, CA, CFP

Craig Gronsdahl is a principal of the Fraser Financial Group LLP and established the Kelowna office in 1995. Craig graduated from the University of Victoria with a degree in Economics and earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1987. Prior to joining FFG he worked in public accounting firms and as a controller in private industry.

Craig is the Treasurer of the Central Okanagan Foundation and current chair of the Investment Committee, Treasurer for the Central Okanagan Child Development Centre and a member and past president of the Kelowna Estate Planning Society. He is also the Past Chair of the Okanagan Committee for Junior Achievement.

Craig’s practice is focused on wealth accumulation and preservation and uses his tax and business experience to build tax efficient financial strategies for his clients. He believes that risk management and low-fee investments based on the best academic based research available are critical elements for his clients’ long term financial success.

Gary Huston, CA, CFP

Gary Huston is founder and principal of the Fraser Financial Group LLP. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, he has an extensive background in business and the financial services industry. Following a career in public accounting, education (both teaching and in administration), and in the financial services sector, he found that his interests lay in the area of estate and retirement planning. This ultimately led to the formation of the Fraser Financial Group.

A recognized authority on personal estate planning and corporate restructuring, Gary works closely with the accounting and legal communities in the design and implementation of effective and workable financial solutions to meet the needs of his clients. He has served as a member of council with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC, and has been active in community affairs and politics from municipal to federal levels. He has recently been accepted as a member of CALU, the Canandian Association of Life Underwriters, and serves on the Advisors committee for Partners in Planning Financial Sevices Ltd. Gary is also the Vice President of the Community Foundation of the North Okanagan.

Keray Regan, FMA, FCSI, EPC
In 1982, Keray and his wife Gwen initiated the formation of Regan and Associates Incorporated. Their business flourished as a result of the growing awareness of their clients' financial and estate planning needs. Their ability to offer clients better interest rates on their investments became a large part of their business. In 1999 the opportunity to merge their business with the Fraser Financial Group became a reality. As a larger group, Keray is able to offer their client base the expertise of lawyer and accounting partnering in the financial and estate planning process. Keray is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) and as well, he hold the designation of the Financial Management Advisor (FMA) and the Elder Planning Council (EPC). Keray is a past member of the Silver Star Rotary Club in Vernon and the Community Foundation of the North Okanagan.

George Sigaty, MBA
George was born in Edmonton and received his MBA from the University of Alberta. Prior to joining Partners in Planning / Fraser Financial Group Ltd. in Abbotsford, George was with the federal government, working primarily in economic analysis, commercial office space market analysis, and real property development in both Ottawa and Vancouver. George achieved an honours designation from the Canadian Securities Institute and was licenced in 1999 to provide investment advice as a Registered Representative. Since moving to Abbotsford in 1981, George has been actively involved with community sports, first as a minor league coach in hockey and baseball and later as a Director and now President with the Abbotsford Air Force Junior Football Club.

Chuck Webb, B.A., E.P.C.

Chuck Webb is a founder, director and principal shareholder of The Fraser Financial Group. He heads our Abbotsford office. Chuck was the recipient of many scholarships at the University of British Columbia, where he studied psychology and economics. After graduating in 1981, he followed a career in the financial services sector. Chuck specialized in retirement planning and asset management, ultimately co-founding The Fraser Financial Group with Gary Huston in December 1991. Chuck’s articles have appeared frequently in several local newspapers, and he has been actively involved in the financial education of both staff and faculty at the University College of the Fraser Valley and other institutions. Chuck is a keen (some might say obsessed!) amateur astronomer and astrophotographer, and has three children. Chuck works closely with his team in Abbotsford, which includes Dale-Lynn Ambury, Alex Christon and Patti Harrison, to provide effective financial advice and services including developing, implementing and constantly monitoring his clients’ diversified financial plans. He has qualified as a charter member of the Elder Planning Counselor program after successfully completing an intense and rigorous test of knowledge regarding current seniors issues.     Brent is a Chartered Accountant and has recently joined the Vernon office as an advisor. Brent brings with him a wealth of information and client service attributes from his public accounting and CFO background. As the former CFO for two major equipment dealers, and advisor to a family-owned logging and lumber manufacturer, Brent firmly believes in the development of plans to meet both individual and corporate long-term goals and objectives. Brent’s most recent role as a Senior Manager with an international accounting firm has also allowed him to stay abreast of the many tax-planning opportunities.

    Brent is an active member in the community as both Treasurer with the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, and serving as director on a number of boards.

    Rick Balfour, CGA
    Rick Balfour is Chief Financial Officer for Fraser Financial Group, as well as Chief Operations Officer for the Vernon office. His background includes a position as Controller for a group of companies engaged in the Internet, industrial electronics and computer sales and repair; Business Manager for a lumber remanufacturer; and Vice-president Finance and Administration for one of North America's largest ski resorts. Currently Treasurer of the Canada West Ski Areas Association, Rick has served as past president of the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors for the Vernon Golf & Country Club.

    Colleen is the newest member to join our FFG team in the Vernon office as of January 2009, initially working as an Licensed Assistant. Colleen brings a wealth of customer service, sales management and business experience from her many year in retail sales as well as her more recent foray into financial services.

    Colleen chose a new career path in 2007 by leaving retail sales after 12 years with Rona and moving into financial services. She became dually-licensed in Life Insurance and Mutual Fund sales during that year and plans to start working on her CFP designation in the near future.

    Exceptional customer service is a high priority with Colleen and she enjoys working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals and objectives. She is looking forward to being a part of the Fraser Financial team giving her the opportunity to learn and develop into a respected financial advisor.

    Colleen is an active member and executive director of &dbquo;Vernon Women in Business” - a local organization with over 150 members. She has also recently rejoined the Vernon Winter Carnival committee as Director of Advertising. Colleen, her husband Brent and family returned to Vernon in 2005 after 10 years in Langley; they intend to stay for good this time.

    Dale-Lynn Ambury

    As a part of The Fraser Financial Group's Financial Planning Department in Abbotsford, Dale-Lynn Ambury will create an individualized and comprehensive Fraser Financial Plan, based on your own unique financial situation, exploring ways to make your retirement wishes come true, and ensuring that your needs are met; including Insurance, estate and trust planning . Dale-Lynn successfully obtained her degree in Business Administration in 1996, and acquired her Mutual Funds license in 1999. She went on to complete her Real Estate course at the University of British Columbia's Sauder Institute in 2003 and most recently completed her Life Insurance Licensing course in 2009.

    Dale-Lynn has over 11 years of experience in the Insurance and Financial Planning industry. Her diverse array of knowledge and experience make her invaluable to the day-to-day operations of the Abbotsford office, as well as a helpful source of planning information for our other offices. Dale-Lynn looks forward to expanding her knowledge of the Financial Planning industry through ongoing educational opportunities and continued hands on experience.

    Joanne Calvert and her husband Terry arrived in Canada from England in January 2007. They resided in Edmonton before relocating to Vernon, BC. Joanne joined our FFG team in December 2007 bringing with her 22 years of experience in the Financial Services industry.

    Joanne is currently working on her Mutual Funds’ license which will add to her vast array of experience in the financial industry. You can find Joanne working in our back office as the primary processing administrator, making sure all of our clients’ account openings, general paper work and mutual fund orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner. She works diligently to ensure our internal policies as well as the standards set by the Securities Commission are met. It has been a great pleasure having her join our team, an asset we truly appreciate.

    Assisting the Administrative Department in its’ day-to-day operations, Alex Christon joined the Abbotsford office early in 2007 in a temporary capacity and was subsequently asked to join the permanent, full-time staff. With a background strong in both organizational and support roles as well as communication skills, from enterprises as varied as education and parenting to ownership of a small-scale land development company, Alex is proving to be a good fit for the team and is enjoying rising to the challenges of learning the financial planning industry.

    Patti Harrison joined our FFG Team (Abbotsford Branch) in July, 2008 as Executive Assistant to Chuck Webb. Successfully acquiring her Mutual Funds Course in 1999, Patti went on to complete her Canadian Securities Course in 2003. She was awarded the CIBC Award of Excellence in both 2007 and 2008, and brings to our team over 27 years of financial experience.

    Her extensive banking background, together with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail, has been a tremendous addition to our firm. Having learned the ins and outs of the various mutual fund companies and their products, Patti has also taken on the administrative responsibility of the life insurance side of the office. Fraser Valley residents for over 22 years, Patti and her family currently reside in Langley.

    Trish Hartwig joined our Kamloops office as executive assistant to Bob Thomas in early 2006. She resides in Kamloops with her husband Gerhard and two children, Symmone and Rio along with their dog Myla.     Jill Hunt joined our team as an Administrative Assistant in our Vernon office. Jill provides a cheery greeting to those who call or visit our office. If she is unable to help you, she will make sure you are directed to someone who can. Jill quickly became acquainted with the financial planning industry, which led to her looking after our GIC and ING investment clients which is one of her many responsibilities. Along with Vera, Jill makes sure that our clients and visitors experience professionalism in a relaxed atmosphere. On a more personal note, Jill is a long time Vernon resident who enjoys going to the gym. She has also successfully raised three sons.     Treana MacCallum joined our team in June of 2007 as Executive Assistant to Robert Hansen in our Surrey office. She had big shoes to fill and has more that filled them. With a goal of a "new start" and a desire to learn, Treana has risen to the challenge and continually proves that she is not only capable, but confident whe will excel in this multi-faceted position.

    Having completed IFIC's Mutual Funds Operations Course, Treana is now enrolled in The Canadian Investments Funds Course looking forward to completing it with a more thorough understanding of this vast and sometimes very complex industry. Treana plays a key role in the daily operation of our office and ensures that our clients needs are being met at every possible level.

    Lavone McKnight joined our office in 2003 in a temporary capacity, but soon proved herself to be an invaluable asset to our firm, and we are pleased that she joined our team permanently! Lavone heads the Processing Department for our Vernon office, in addition to acting as the primary point of contact for all five offices with respect to information and technology systems, including compliance-related matters, to ensure we continually adhere to the standards established by the Securities Commission. Lavone has already demonstrated her ability to take on the myriad challenges of this multi-faceted position, and successfully acquired her Mutual Funds license early in 2004.     Susan Mykituik joined The Fraser Financial Group in January 2003, bringing with her 25 years of banking experience in positions ranging from teller to branch manager. During her varied banking career Susan developed extensive knowledge in a wide range of products and services.     Chris and her son relocated to Armstrong three years ago. Shawn, an ex-hockey player, is a student and ‘full-time social snowboarder’ (no time for hockey!) Chris and Shawn have taken on the ambitious task of renovating and landscaping their new home. When they are not busy with this ‘do it yourself’ project they are usually camping somewhere in the Okanagan—which is seasonally replaced by snowboarding for Shawn.

    Gwen began her financial career in 1963 with Associates Finance Company in Kamloops, BC. After raising her children, she resumed her financial career in 1984 by joining her husband Keray at the investment and insurance company, Regan and Associates. Gwen enjoyed the challenge of helping to make a success of Regan and Associates, handling a variety of office management and client support responsibilities. Now that the merger with Fraser Financial Group has occurred, she continues to assist clients and to help in the marketing department.

    Whether you meet her in person, or on the telephone, you will be warmed by Vera’s sunny disposition and her genuine desire to ensure you are directed to the right department or individual to find your answer or meet your need. Aside from ‘directing traffic’, Vera also looks after our GIC and ING clients along with Susan Moller.

    The role of front-office receptionist is varied and demanding, with many ‘behind the scene’ responsibilities that, unfortunately, are only visible in their absence. We are most appreciative of the talents and expertise Vera brings to us from her eclectic career in retail and wholesale environments to support the smooth flow of the office. It’s obvious that Vera loves working with people and this generosity of spirit extends to the community as well through her volunteer work at the homeless shelter. Vera returned to Vernon in 2004 to care for her mother, which has given her mother the opportunity to continue living in her own home. A valuable gift indeed.

    Diana and her family moved to Canada from Cape Town, South Africa in 1995, relocating to Vernon, BC in 1999.
